The Dyatlov Pass Incident

February 2, 1959

On February 2, 1959, nine experienced hikers died under mysterious circumstances in the Ural Mountains of the Soviet Union. The hikers tent was found cut open from the inside, and they fled into the freezing cold without proper clothing. Some of the bodies were found with severe internal injuries, while others appeared to have been exposed to radiation. The cause of their deaths remains an unsolved mystery, with theories ranging from an avalanche to a military experiment. The incident remains one of the most bizarre and haunting tragedies in Russian history.
