On February 25, 1991, the Scud missile attack on Dharan occurred during the Gulf War in Saudi Arabia. Iraqi forces launched a series of Scud missiles at the U.S.-led coalition forces stationed in the region, with one of the missiles striking a U.S. barracks in the city of Dharan.
